The SYHA Hockey Operations Committee hopes you are making the best of your spring restrictions, and would like to make you aware of a few hockey-oriented diversions to help pass the time.

1) The COVID Sabre Skills Challenge launched on our website and Facebook page involves the same stickhandling and shooting sheets as last summer.  They can be started at any time and target a great way to pass the time after distance learning is completed, while improving your hockey skills at the same time.  This MN Hockey article contains some great description and videos of stickhandling improvements.

2) Minnesota Hockey is launching a Player Development series of webinars intended for parents and players, to help learn more about the nuts and bolts of player development approaches of USA Hockey and Minnesota here.  Check the article for more information and to register for the sessions.

3) Always wanted to have your player try IntelliGym but didn't want the long subscription period?  Minnesota Hockey is now offering a 3-month license for only $49.  More details and signup details are located on this webpage.  If you are planning to sign-up, please FIRST email syha.hockeyoperations@gmail.com - we'll keep a tally of those interested through April 22 and then see if we have enough interest to qualify for a group rate and drop the price even lower.

It is exciting to see how Minnesota Hockey is supporting families this spring, so we hope you consider these opportunities.
